PEACEFUL PARKLANDS FOR A RELAXING FISHING EXPERIENCE

GOOD STOCKS OF CARP, TENCH & SILVER FISH

Thornham Fishery is made up of 3 small lakes, Parva (closest to the car park) Middle (one with the island) and Magna (furthest from car park).

All three are set in parkland amongst mature trees and grassland.

It is a fishery for all abilities, whether you are just starting out and want to wet a line for the first time with family members or a seasoned pro who likes to bag up!

There is a local restaurant within walking distance that will also deliver sandwiches and food on request!.

On a weekend you can also watch the local cricket club play their matches through the poplar trees in the next meadow.

PARVA LAKE

This is the smallest of the three but heavily stocked with carp up to 10lbs, a good head of small tench, bream and rudd.

Matches are often held here with some great weights taking the win, even in the winter and spring months bags of 40+ lbs are not un-common.

MIDDLE LAKE

This has some of the larger carp, over 17lbs have come to the net on occasions.

This is also stocked with bream, tench, perch, crucian carp and roach.

It has some nice features to fish to including an island and lily beds.

MAGNA LAKE

This lake is a little wilder with some weed growth, lilies and reeds.

It is stocked with a nice stamp of larger carp and some pike for the winter months.
